ISLAMIST hate preachers will be stopped from entering Britain under new plans to crack down on extremism.

She will reveal her bid to expand the country’s visa task force next week as part of a social cohesion strategy to stop community tensions.

Ms Mahmood said: “Foreign extremists must not be allowed to enter our country and spread their hateful views.

“I will always take the necessary action to protect our citizens.

“Our global visa task force will stop extremists from ever setting foot on UK soil.”

The task force is focused on identifying and disrupting extremists such as and .

Information is passed to specialists in the who are expected to cancel or refuse visas should such individuals attempt to travel to the UK.

The scheme was initially launched as a small pilot in 2024 and has already stopped hundreds of extremists from coming to the UK.

It will be made permanent, handed an extra £5million and given a larger global remit.
