The historical drama series, Domina released earlier this month and has been steadily rising to popularity for its accurate and intriguing portrayal of the wife of the Roman emperor Julius Caesar, Livia Drusilla.

Telling the story of this woman is certainly no easy feat, but the writers for the TV series did so amazingly, which explains the high ratings for the show with an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.1 out of 10 on IMDb.

Based on true events, Domina tells the story of Livia, the woman who changed the history of the Roman Empire completely. From a young woman who knew nothing to a wife who controlled everything, Livia went down in history as a hidden but strong force to be reckoned with.

The cast of this series features Kasia Smutniak as Livia Drusilla, Alex Lanipekun as Tycho Peter Campion as Libo, Colette Dalal Tchantcho as Antigone, Christine Bottomley as Scribonia, Matthew McNulty as  Gaius, and Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham.
