IPAC reacts as ex-APGA Chairman in Anambra, Sylvester Ezeokenwa dies

The Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, has reacted to the death of Sylvester Ezeokenwa, the Ezeudo of Umuchu.

IPAC said the news of the passing of Ichie, who is the father of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, came as a shock.

He was a grassroots politician and pioneer Chairman of APGA in Onitsha South Local Government Area, Anambra State, from 2003 to 2015.

IPAC said it is saddened that he passed away at a time when his wise counsel is needed as citizens strive to build a better democratic nation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, an esteemed political leader, and his siblings during this period of grief. May God Almighty console, comfort, and strengthen them over this irreparable loss,”;; the statement signed by Dr. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, National Chairman of IPAC, said.

“We take solace in the fact that the late Pa Sylvester Ezeokenwa lived a fulfilled life and will be remembered as a man of integrity and a pioneer member of APGA, who contributed immensely to the growth of the party in Anambra State, which has been in power since 2006.”;;
