An interior design expert has shared five trends she believes will be out of style by 2026.
If you're looking for a design that will stand the test of time, you've come to the right place and should pay attention.

Flossie, an influencer from the interior design community, who frequently shares tips on how to enhance your home online, recently took to social media to express her views on five trends she thinks will be "outdated by this time next year."
In her brief video, she was frank about an "excessive" feature that is "too busy for the eyes" and also pointed out a trend she believes will lose its appeal.
To start, she explained why she thinks paneling should be retired.
She stated: “I’ve noticed a lot of excessive paneling, especially in homes that aren’t era-appropriate – I personally believe that too much paneling, unless it’s an original feature, is visually overwhelming.”
Next, Flossie predicts that we will soon see a lot of terrazzo tiles being “ripped up.”
She added: “They’ve experienced a significant boom over the last few years, but now they remind me of WeWork – a very corporate environment trying to appear trendy.”
Moreover, Flossie is not a fan of the all-green trend.
Speaking about “millennial green,” she explained: “We had a trend of painting everything grey a few years ago – green has now taken the place of grey, which is certainly an improvement, but I think green will soon become the new grey in a few years.”
Additionally, Flossie is skeptical about the longevity of “anything boucle.”
“I’ve been seeing it everywhere – I think this time next year, boucle will be less common, and I’m already noticing quite a bit of it in second-hand furniture stores,” she acknowledged.
Flossie also described boucle as “very impractical,” especially for those with children or pets.
Lastly, Flossie shared her thoughts on “anything scalloped.”
