Former National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sunday Udeh-Okoye, has announced that Ndigbo are now an integral part of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Udeh-Okoye made this statement while affirming that the APC does not coerce any Southeast governor into joining the party.

This remark follows the announcement by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, who recently left the PDP to join the APC.

During his official defection announcement, Mbah expressed that the voices of the Igbos are not adequately represented in the PDP, prompting his decision to leave the party.

Moreover, Udeh-Okoye revealed that another Southeast governor is expected to join the APC soon.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Udeh-Okoye stated: “Ndigbo is now fully integrated into the APC; you can see our presence there. Just watch and see, very soon another state will align with the APC in the Southeast. In fact, another State Governor from the Southeast will soon join the APC.”

“How can APC intimidate us? The APC is not providing us with anything other than the realization that they have competent managers.”

“These managers understand whom to respect and follow, they recognize those who can lead them to electoral victories, and they know who should not be interfered with.”

He also mentioned that the PDP would not be experiencing its current turmoil if he had been elected as the party’s National Secretary.

“If I had been appointed as the national secretary, undoubtedly, the issues currently plaguing the PDP would not be occurring,” he added.

Udeh-Okoye had previously resigned his membership from the former ruling party, emphasizing that the PDP had deviated from the ideals of its founders.
