During his absence, rumors circulated online suggesting that he had been kidnapped by armed individuals.
However, in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday night, Igbokwe confirmed that his account has been restored and stated that he was never abducted.

“I was confined and silenced for 14 days. It felt like an endless torment. I find joy in sharing meaningful insights with others.
“As soon as my page was taken down, those filled with malice, cultural savages, and hedonists spread rumors that I had been kidnapped on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway. That was a complete fabrication.
“This tale was spun by a group of charlatans and scoundrels devoid of life, soul, honor, dignity, and integrity. I forgive them.
“I take pleasure in seeing both good and difficult individuals engaging with my page. It has been an enjoyable experience. I extend my gratitude to Egondu Okorie, Peter Claver, Omoyele Sowore, Ngozi Nwolisa, Zara Onyinye, Kurtis Adigba, Uche Amagba, Tayo Oyetibo SAN, and others. May God bless you all. Amen, an endless Alleluia.”
