But his is solar-free despite them being permitted in the conservation area, and the offer of a price incentive scheme.

Miliband was slammed last year for instead of a heat pump at his South Yorks constituency home.

In January it also emerged that he and his ministers had flown more than six times around the world since taking office.

Reform’s Richard Tice said: “ is the king of hypocrisy, no solar panels and no heat pump despite imposing this madness on us.”

Tory shadow energy secretary added: “Is there no end to his eco-hypocrisy?”

A retired neighbour of Miliband said: “We’re in the conservation area but didn’t need planning permission for panels.”

Last week Miliband announced policies to encourage solar panels and electric vehicles.

He said: “The era of security is over, and the era of clean energy security must come of age.”

And he pledged £100million extra towards reducing carbon emissions in social housing.

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero said: “Through our £15billion with grants and loans, everyone can access the benefits and savings that clean home-grown power can bring.”
