World No1 has opted to skip this weekend’s action in the Hungarian capital, with The Nuke to qualify for the Players Championship Finals in November.

The prize fund for European Tour events has risen in 2026 to £230,000.
The full European Darts Trophy prize fund is as follows:
- Winner: £35,000
- Runner-up: £15,000
- Semi-finalist: £10,000
- Quarter-finalist: £8,000
- Third round: £5,000
- Second round: £3,500*
- First round: £2,000*
- Total: £230,000
*Pre-qualified Order of Merit players will not be credited with prize money in the Order of Merit if they lose in their first match of the tournament.
