The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has shared how he personally invested over N756 million to support President Bola Tinubu's campaign in 2023.
MC Oluomo revealed that this amount came entirely from his own resources, emphasizing that he did not receive any financial support “from Abuja” during the campaign period.
In a widely circulated video on social media, MC Oluomo explained that he covered hotel accommodations, logistics, and daily expenses for Nollywood actors, actresses, and others involved in the campaign.
Oluomo, a longstanding supporter of Tinubu, detailed that he reserved 140 hotel rooms at a rate of N45,000 per night for four months, in addition to providing daily stipends for those assisting with the campaign.
“I spent N756 million of my own money during the campaign. Nobody from Abuja contributed a penny. I paid for hotels and supported everyone working tirelessly for Asiwaju’s victory,” he stated.
He also reiterated his commitment to Tinubu as the 2027 elections approach, expressing his readiness to contribute even more to the president’s reelection efforts.
“We are not slowing down. The 2027 elections are just around the corner, and we are already strategizing to ensure Asiwaju wins again,” he concluded.
