She was quoted £2,000 but managed to do it herself and save a fortune

At first, she decided to seek professional help to get it cleaned up but soon realised how pricey it would be.

She said: “Decided my house was giving ‘ugly’.

“I got quoted £2k to paint it, which was out of budget...

“So I thought I’d just “

Lauren decided to put herto the ultimate test and paint over all of the pebbledash outside her home for a quick .

To start with, Lauren soaked the walls in a stabiliser solution to ensure that the paint stuck to the pebbledash.

After the stabiliser she painted each of the walls with a white paint to brighten the house up.

Lauren used a paint roller for the job but realised it was much harder than she initially thought so she decided to rally up friends and family to help.

“Painting time, easily the worst thing I had to do,”; she added.

After two days, Lauren had painted three of the walls in her front garden but still had the entire house to paint.

Last but not least, Lauren filled in any cracks using sand cement.

She said: “Then I used the handle of the paint brush to put holes in it so when it’s painted it just looks like pebbledash.”;

Lauren then showed off the final transformation and people couldn’t believe what a difference it made.

The white paint brightened the entire house up and made it look so much cleaner and modern.

Lauren revealed that she managed to do the entire house for just £90, meaning she saved herself £1,910.

The clip went viral on her TikTok account @laurenstoddart with over 2.6 million views and 114k likes.

One person wrote: “Petition to have the inventor of pebble dash rendering sent to ! Looks so much better painted.”;

Another commented: “I love these kinds of videos, it just shows that everyone overprices everything, best to just do it yourself, might take longer but at least you saved 1910 quid.”;

“Pebble dash is an actual against architecture but the white looks soooo much better,”; penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Looks so much brighter! You must be really proud of yourself! That’s proper graft!”;

“You did a good job but I bet it was hard work! I don’t understand why anyone thought pebbledash was something we needed,”; claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Looks amazing now!! Well done!!!”;
