PAWS and experience the joy of these adorable shots featuring 13 guide dog puppies collectively known as The Baker’s Dozen.
Guide Dogs is celebrating its largest litter in three years after four-year-old Yori, a golden retriever cross, gave birth to them in Chipping Campden.

The eight-week-old puppies have been given bakery-themed names in honor of the charity’s Puppy Appeal and are expected to rise to the occasion of becoming life-changing guide dogs in 2027.
Janine Dixon from Guide Dogs stated, “We had no idea Yori had such a large number of pups on the way. We are delighted that all 13 have thrived, thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and staff.”
In a remarkable turn, Yori, three years old, delivered an astonishing litter of 11 puppies.
Owner Rayma went to bed after the tenth puppy and was shocked to find another one upon waking.
She remarked, “I honestly thought she was done! I was amazed by the size of the litter. She is a natural mother.”
“She even has ten nipples, so she can nearly feed them all at once – it’s incredibly sweet to observe.”
Rayma, who acquired Yori when she was seven months old, used a stud dog and had anticipated around six puppies, which is the average litter size.
She had initially planned to sell them and could potentially earn up to £2,500 for each puppy.
Rayma, residing near Leicester, added, “I can’t keep 11 puppies, or I’ll turn into a crazy dog lady!”
It is understood that records for individual dog breeds are not maintained.
The largest previous Dachshund litter is believed to be the ten puppies born to Cheesecake in Lincoln in 2021.
