Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has pledged to provide basic amenities, including roads, electricity, potable water, and mobile network services, to communities ravaged by bandit attacks in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area.

The governor made the promise during a visit to Banga, Sakajiki, Kuryar Madaro, Maguru, and Tambarawa, where he met survivors and condoled families of 38 victims recently killed in captivity by bandits.

While assuring residents of his administration’s commitment to their safety, Lawal condemned the renewed wave of violence, describing it as a deliberate attempt by “enemies” to instill fear among citizens. He prayed for God to “expose and shame” those behind the killings and urged the people to remain steadfast in prayers for peace.

“When the unfortunate incident occurred, I was not in the state. I immediately directed the deputy governor to lead a high-level condolence delegation. Upon my return, I made visiting the affected communities my top priority,” he said.
