Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has expressed shock over the death of Nigeria’s immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, governor Kefas described Buhari as a patriotic leader who dedicated his life to national service, both as a military officer and as a democratically elected President.

He praised the late former President’s commitment to national unity, anti-corruption efforts, and his austere personal discipline, noting that Buhari’s legacy would be remembered as a significant part of Nigeria’s democratic journey.

“The former President played a vital role in maintaining the sovereignty and stability of the country during challenging periods in our history,”; the governor said.

Governor Kefas also conveyed condolences on behalf of the government and people of Taraba to the Buhari family, the government of Katsina State, and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
