GLADIATORS star Cyclone has broken her silence on exiting the show and has insisted she quit before BBC bosses axed her.
The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this week that she would on the upcoming fourth series.

Cyclone, whose real name is Lystus Ebosele, took to her stories to open up about her exit and claimed the decision to leave was her own.
She began: “I have not been axed, I have left on my own accord.
“I’m so sorry to all the families that have come to filming expecting me to be there, and have found out about my absence on arrival to the arena with no explanation.
“I truly am, because it’s not fair to the fans of the show, how things have transpired.
“I have made the decision to step away from the show for a few reasons – of which I don’t know if or when I’ll discuss tbh.
“Ultimately, it was the correct decision and one I don’t regret at all.
“Therefore I will not be a part of series 4 in it’s entirety, or any subsequent series. But I will very much be part of the Live Tour 2026 (Very excited).”
In a second story, she expressed: “In saying that… I would never ever regret my time on the show, I’ve made sisters and brothers for life.

“I’ve gotten to inspire a generation of young girls to grow up knowing that they can be STRONG, BEAUTIFUL and that they can UNAPOLOGETICALLY DOMINATE whatever world they choose.
“But there’s no world in which I can stay and be a part of the show any longer.
“Thank you to everyone who has tuned in and supported me up until now, it means the world,” she signed off.
The Irish power lifting champion has taken the tag of her Gladiator account (@cyclonethegladiator) out of her personal Instagram’s bio.
As well as this, she’s also deleted all the pictures of her as Cyclone and unfollowed Hungry Bear, the production company that makes the show.
A source told us this week: “Cyclone won’t be back and she’s not happy about it.
“She’s now cut all ties with the show – it’s a pity as fans absolutely loved her.”
She joined the show for the second series back in January 2025.

Cyclone isn’t the only star to have left the show as
Filming for the next series kicked off this weekend but two major stars were missing in action.
Earlier this week The Sun exclusively revealed that both Bionic, real name Matty Campbell, and Athena – real name Karenjeet Kaur Bains – will be absent from the upcoming edition when it returns in 2027 on One.
They were both injured for a lot of the last series which aired from January to March this year.
A source told us: “They won’t film this year for the show but could be back for the tour, depending on how they recover from their injuries.”
And it comes after Giant was from the programme in April as he alleged it was because the BBC didn’t approve of his relationship with his girlfriend Taylor Ryan, who is an model.
Meanwhile it has also been revealed that there will be four new stars to join the cast.
Olympic gold medal winning skeleton race Tabby Stoecker, who is an Olympic champion, is one of the new stars.
Earlier this week it was also confirmed that fitness influencer and weightlifting champ will be taking on the alter-ego of Huntress.
And World’s Strongest Man champion is also .
There has also been talks that Traitors and ex-England rugby star may also become a Gladiator.
Gladiators will return to BBC One and in 2027
