Victoria Sugden returned in a secretly-filmed scene, amid

Isabel, 32, and her husband Adam Whitehead in February.

The character was last seen earlier in this year, when she (Oliver Farnworth) in self-defence.

Victoria fled to Portugal, but reappeared in a video call with her other brother, Robert (Ryan Hawley).

Robert begged his sister to return to the village for a new family business – only she instead declined.

Explaining her decision, Victoria told him: “I’m happy here. I won’t lie to you Robert. I won’t ever feel like coming back.

“I have to do what’s right for me. I’ve got to go, I’m sorry.”

It therefore means Isabel seemingly won’t be returning fully this year as expected, now she has welcomed her first child.

The Sun understands the door has been left open for the character and this isn’t a permanent exit.

Speaking previously, Isabel had said she hoped to reprise her role as Victoria full-time from September, saying: “To be honest, I still don’t know when I’m going back.

“In my ideal world, it would be September. And then it’s all systems go.

“[That’s when] it really starts with the juggling and potential mum guilt, and whatever.”

Emmerdale declined to comment.

Reacting online to Victoria’s comeback, one viewer penned: “It’s nice to see Victoria on camera!”

Another wrote: “What’s going to happen for Victoria to change her mind and come home??”

Isabel first joined the soap as Victoria in 2006, aged just 12-years-old at the time.

She became the third actress to play the role, following Jessica Heywood from 1994 to 1997 and Hannah Midgley from 1997 to 2006.
