THIS is the shocking moment a tourist freezes as a wild brown bear bites his calf and lunges before the man flees in fear.
Bizarre footages shows the man standing stone-still when a bear creeps out of the bushes behind slowly in the Romanian Mountains.

The bear appears to sniff his leg tentatively for a few moments before taking a bite. The man remained still.
The dash-cam video shows the driver in the car driving forward slowly to box in the bear with the vehicle in front.
However, the bear remained unfazed.

The man can be seen leaning on the car bonnet before the beast suddenly strikes. The video captures the man fleeing in terror as his hands flail in the air, back to his own white car parked in front.
The video has gone viral on social media, racking up several million views.
Some users have commended his composure with the bear, arguing that staying frozen was the best choice as to not provoke the bear into aggression.
One said that “if he ran the bear would have run after him and potentially attacked him. Smart move.”
Others have been more bearish, saying that the man possessed “survival instincts of a potato”, and that “the fact that the bear waited for him to run, shows he is in it for the sport of it all”.
Tourists have previously been warned if they ever travel to the famous road Transfăgărășan, “do NOT STOP, DO NOT FEED THEM, and just AVOID THEM.”
The warning added: “No matter how chill and cute they might seem on the side of the road, almost ‘begging’ for attention and food, they are WILD animals and can be very dangerous, even deadly as you’ll soon find out.”
It comes after a bear killed a motorcyclist in the scenic mountain highway just a few days before.
The victim stopped at the popular tourist attraction with his bike despite there being a warning sign to not feed the bears.
A bear attacked him and dragged him down a steep ravine.
Romanian authorities have urged tourists driving along these highways to not approach or feed the bears.
Last year it has been reported that Romania may have as many as 13,000 brown bears, a protected species in the European Union.
And according to the government numbers of the past twenty years, brown bears have killed 26 people and injured 274 others.
Politicians have said that their growing numbers make attacks on humans more likely, and have doubled the authorised cull of brown bears to 481.
