The Senate has officially confirmed Major General Waheedi Shaibu as the Chief of Army Staff.

According to DAILY POST, during the confirmation, the Senate requested him to 'take a bow' and begin his duties immediately.

This confirmation occurred shortly after the red chamber approved General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff.
