GARY LINEKER has taken a cheeky swipe at Gary Neville’s own podcast despite denying any rivalry between the two.

The former stars both lend their voices to during their post-playing careers.

, 65, will be podcasting from the USA this summer as he has teamed up with .

His first The Rest is Football show for the World Cup will be broadcast on June 10, ahead of the tournament start.

Linker will be joined by his regular co-host, and occasionally .

The football podcast world is a saturated one with also running Sky’s The Overlap.

But Lineker has jokingly insisted that his World Cup show will be nothing like the icon’s own podcast.

Speaking to The Athletic , he made a cheeky swipe suggesting that Neville’s was very United-focused.

He said: “It will be nothing like the aforementioned show… ours is a bit more than just Man United. Joke.”

Lineker has built up , which also features The Rest Is History and The Rest Is Politics.

In total, Goalhanger Podcasts Ltd has 13 different shows and rakes in a staggering £15MILLION every year.

Last year, Goalhanger partnered with DAZN to show action from the , and also has a three-year deal with Spain’s , with rights to weekly clips.

It has also banked millions in investment from a private equity company, with plans to move into the US, as well as launch new formats.

Lineker’s pod will be based in New York City for the tournament that will be played across Canada, Mexico and the US.

It will be the first international tournament since Lineker left the as its main host.

, and will share the presenting duties through the tournament.
