The supermarket has requested that customers who purchased cushions from their homeware and clothing line, George, return them for a complete refund.

The cushions are considered a fire risk according to the Office for Product Safety and Standards, and customers are advised to stop using them immediately.
This is due to the filling used in the cushions, which may not be fire-retardant.
If these cushions come into contact with an open flame, the internal filling could ignite.
Customers should be aware that this recall affects several color variations of the George square cushions.
The pom-pom cushions have also been recalled.
Officials stated: “The product poses a fire risk because the filling may not be fire-retardant.
“This means that if the seat pad comes into contact with an open flame, the internal filling will catch fire and continue to burn.
“The product does not comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.”
To determine if your cushions are affected, check for the small ticket located behind the care label for the batch code.
The barcode number can be found on the care label of the product.
The supermarket announced that customers returning the product do not need to provide a receipt.
The retailer has been selling these fire-risk cushions since January 2023.
“We advise consumers to stop using the product immediately and return it to their nearest store for a full refund,” said officials.
“We have discovered that in some instances, this product (George Home Cushions) does not meet fire and furnishing regulations, as the filling may not be FR (fire retardant) compliant.
