Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairman, Umar Damagum, has threatened to discipline any member involved in anti-party activities.
Damagum said PDP’s disciplinary committee will not tolerate anyone seen to be disloyal to the party.
He spoke at the FCT Secretariat when candidates for the elections received their official nomination yesterday.
The acting National Chairman was represented at the occasion by the PDP’s North-central Vice Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed.
He cautioned members against engaging themselves in the political activities of other members because it will not be tolerated.
Damagum charged those involved in anti-party activities to leave the PDP.
He assured candidates participating in the upcoming Federal Capital Territory council that their votes would be protected.
“Any misbehaviour, the party will no longer tolerate it. If anyone feels they are not ready for this task, they should step aside immediately so that we can replace them without delay.
“If anyone is caught campaigning or organising with other political parties, it will be treated as anti-party activity and they will be disciplined,”; he added.
