Seohyun may be finding herself caught in a new love triangle in KBS2’s “The First Night with the Duke”;!
“The First Night with the Duke”; is a fantasy romance drama about an ordinary college student whose soul is transported into a minor character in a romance novel, Cha Sun Chaek (Girls’ Generation’sSeohyun). After waking up in the world of the novel, she ends up spending the night with the obsessive male lead, Yi Beon (2PM’sTaecyeon).

Previously, a new character named Yi Gyu (Lee Tae Sun), who was not part of the original novel, suddenly appeared before Cha Sun Chaek and caught her off guard. Although the two once shared special childhood memories, including a promise of marriage, Cha Sun Chaek—who now carries the soul of modern-day college student K—doesn’t recognize him at all.
To complicate matters further, Prince Yi Gyu not only has a long-standing feud with Prince Yi Beon but is also revealed to be the leader of the group Yi Beon has been pursuing, hinting at an even deeper conflict ahead. Now that Yi Gyu knows Yi Beon is Cha Sun Chaek’s fiancé, viewers are curious to see what unpredictable moves he will make to drive a wedge between them.
The newly released stills show Yi Gyu boldly showing off his flirting skills as he rests his head comfortably on Cha Sun Chaek’s lap with his eyes closed, while Cha Sun Chaek sits frozen in shock, unsure how to react.
Until now, Cha Sun Chaek has managed to survive each crisis thanks to her knowledge of the novel as college student K, but with Yi Gyu being an unpredictable, unknown variable, her confusion only grows. As Yi Gyu makes his sudden and intimate advances, viewers are left wondering: will this spark an intense new love triangle?
