Abuse Claims by Jordyn Downs
A daughter of 'YouTube mom' Machelle Hobson has alleged that she was confined in an empty room for as long as 10 days and threatened with death if she contacted authorities.

Background on Machelle Hobson
Hobson, who rose to fame through her YouTube channel Fantastic Adventures, adopted seven children and, according to Jordyn, fostered over 40 children between 2005 and 2019.
Interactions with Child Protective Services
Jordyn asserts that child protective services visited their home numerous times, but Hobson coerced her into lying about their living conditions and threatened to kill her if she revealed the truth.
Jordyn's Account of Abuse
She also claims that her mother frequently locked her in an empty room for days and, starting at the age of nine, assigned her the responsibility of caring for her younger foster siblings.
By the age of 16, Jordyn states she was prohibited from attending school to remain at home and care for her siblings.
Hobson was arrested in June 2019 and faced 30 felony charges related to the abuse, passing away months later due to a non-trauma-related brain injury.
Jordyn, a stay-at-home mom from Maricopa, Arizona, expressed, “I was compelled to lie when investigators arrived at the home.
“My mom worked for the state and somehow always seemed to know when an investigation was forthcoming.
“She would gather us and prepare us, even threatening us.
“Her threats were not just to harm us, but to kill us if we said anything wrong.
“The authorities would inquire if our mom hurt us while she sat in the room.
“Just moments before, she was threatening to kill us; no child is going to speak out against that.”
Jordyn was only nine when her mother began fostering children.
She explained that her mother was often absent, leaving her with the responsibility of caring for the children.
Jordyn recounted: “As the oldest girl, my mom placed me in charge of the other kids.
“Whenever we had a foster placement, I was the one responsible.
“At just nine years old, I was looking after foster children taken from their broken homes or ours.
“We were in survival mode – she was seldom around.”
We were her puppets
Jordyn Downs,, 29
Jordyn revealed that the abuse she and many of her siblings experienced began long before the launch of Fantastic Adventures on YouTube in 2012.
She recalled instances where her mother would confine children in empty rooms without beds, clothes, or food for days.
“The abuse lasted my entire life. We were her puppets long before YouTube was even a consideration,” Jordyn said.
“Throughout my childhood, I endured significant mental abuse . I was told the most hurtful things about my appearance.
“She constantly criticized me, saying I
