AYOUB EL KAABI left fans in awe as he scored a sensational overhead kick in Morocco’s Afcon opener against Comoros.

Former Prem star Romain Saiss referenced El Kaabi’s acrobatic prowess while speaking about him last year.

The ex-Wolves star said: “He’s very spontaneous and very goal-oriented. He doesn’t try to position himself to shoot, to try and beat his man.

“No, as soon as he can, he shoots, whether it’s a toe-poke or an overhead kick if the ball comes into the air. He always takes his chance.

“That’s his strength. He’s not lacking in effort either, whether in attack or defence.”

Morocco will be back in action against Mali on Boxing Day.

El Kaabi and Co will then conclude their group stage campaign by taking on Zambia next Monday.
