Europa League: Nothing can save Man Utd’s season – Amorim

Published on May 01, 2025 at 05:13 AM

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has claimed that the team has failed in his first season in charge, even if they end up winning the Europa League.

Amorim has endured a miserable time so far in charge of the Red Devils.

United are set to finish outside the top 10 for the first time in the Premier League.

They also crashed out of the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup in the early stages.

However, Amorim’s men are in the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they will take on Athletic Bilbao.

But the 40-year-old believes that even winning the trophy will not “save”; their season.

Speaking to reporters, Amroim said: “Everyone knows this is really important for our season. Nothing will ‘save’ our season but this can be huge.

“Winning a trophy and getting in the Champions League next year can change a lot of things, even in the summer.”;
