Both clubs are in negotiations over Wirtz’s transfer.

The Germany international has already snubbed interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Wirtz wants to take on a “new challenge”; in his career and has opted for a switch to the Premier League.

The Reds have already seen their first offer for the player rejected by Leverkusen and are demanding a transfer fee of €150million.

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Wirtz has informed the English champions that he wants to wear the No. 10 shirt if he joins the club.

It is the same number that he wears at Bayer Leverkusen.
