EPL: Ndidi suffers relegation with Leicester City, Liverpool one win away from title

Published on April 20, 2025 at 05:43 PM

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has suffered relegation from the Premier League with Leicester City for a second time.

This follows their 1–0 defeat to Liverpool at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening.

Trent Alexander-Arnold emerged as the match-winner, coming off the bench to fire home a rebound in the second half.

For Arne Slot’s men, the victory takes their points tally this season to 79, with five fixtures remaining.

The Reds now require just one more win to be crowned champions for the 20th time in their illustrious history.

Liverpool can seal the title next weekend when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Leicester have returned to the Championship. The Foxes have managed to accumulate a mere 18 points from 33 matches.
