A player was rushed to hospital yesterday after taking a brutal kick to the head, which knocked him out cold.
Quadri Liameed, who was playing for Sabadell in the Spanish second division, was booted by Albacete man Jose Corpas.

Corpas appeared to be going for a volley, while at the same time, Liameed went for a header on the edge of the box.
And after winning the duel, Liameed was met with a brutal swinging kick to the head.
He seemed to be knocked out cold as he fell uncontrollably.
It led to the medical staff rushing onto the field, before an ambulance arrived to take the player to the hospital.
Corpas was sent off for his reckless but seemingly accidental kick on Liameed.
On Sunday morning it was revealed that Liameed was discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment.
Sabadell posted: “The best of the news has arrived! @qliameed has received medical discharge after all the tests have come out well and will return tonight to Sabadell!
“We want to thank the medical services of @albacetebpsad for the help received at all times.”

Albacete were 2-0 up at the time of the incident, which happened on the stroke of half-time.
And the ten men were able to hold on and take all three points over Liameed’s Sabadell.
