Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has stated that Chelsea should have selected Como coach Cesc Fabregas instead of Liam Rosenior as the new manager for the Blues.

Scholes argues that Fabregas, a former midfielder for Chelsea, would have been a superior choice for the Premier League club in west London compared to Rosenior.

While appearing on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, the former England international remarked about Fabregas: “Not for United.

“But you know what? I genuinely appreciate what Fabregas is doing and believe he might have been a better option for Chelsea than Liam Rosenior.

“However, he’s not the right fit for Manchester United.”

Rosenior was recently appointed as Chelsea’s new manager following the dismissal of Enzo Maresca.
