Former Manchester United defender, Gabriel Heinze, has been acknowledged for Arsenal’s achievements this season.

The Gunners’ goalkeeper, David Raya, mentioned that the atmosphere has changed since Heinze joined the coaching staff at the Emirates Stadium during the summer.

Mikel Arteta’s team has suffered only one defeat and one draw this season, narrowly losing to Liverpool at Anfield and drawing against Manchester City early on.

Since then, the Gunners have excelled, winning four consecutive matches in the Premier League.

The north London club currently sits at the top of the league following recent struggles faced by both the Reds and City.

Arsenal has demonstrated remarkable defensive capabilities, conceding just three goals in their ten Premier League matches.

Raya credited Heinze, who won the top-flight league with Manchester United.

Raya believes that the Argentinian's attitude has been a valuable addition to the team.

“He [Heinze] is a coach who encourages us to fight with a lot of intensity,” Raya stated after Arsenal’s victory over Burnley on Saturday.

“To win matches, you must defend exceptionally well, especially in this league. This is the most challenging league in the world.

“You need to be extremely solid to secure victories. Typically, games are won by a single goal.

“Therefore, it is crucial to maintain that strength across the team, not just the defense, but every single player. So, a lot of credit goes to him [Heinze] as well.”

Arsenal is set to travel to the Fortuna Arena to take on Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday.
