Chelsea are ready to terminate Raheem Sterling’s contract in a matter of days, according to the Daily Mail.

Sterling is currently on a £325,000-a-week deal with the Blues, but has not played for the first team in almost two years.

But it will be ripped up by Monday, when the transfer window shuts, bringing the 31-year-old’s time in the football wilderness to an end.

Sterling joined the Stamford Bridge club from Manchester City in 2022, putting pen to paper on a five-year contract in 2022.

The former England international who has been frozen out since May 2024, spent the last campaign on loan at Arsenal.

Sterling will try to find a new club in the coming days and is understood to be reluctant to accept another loan move.
