Former Liverpool captain, Jamie Carragher, has asserted that the resurgence of Manchester City’s Phil Foden should concern Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

Foden struggled last season, contributing to City's loss of the title to Liverpool during Arne Slot’s inaugural season.

However, the England midfielder seems to be regaining his top form recently, having scored five goals in his last three matches.

City triumphed over Sunderland 3-0 last weekend, narrowing the gap between them and Arsenal to just two points.

“If he (Foden) maintains the form he displayed when he was named Player of the Year two years ago, I believe as an Arsenal supporter, I would be quite anxious regarding the title,” Carragher remarked on Monday Night Football.

“Haaland has often been referred to as the focal point of City this season. However, Haaland can’t do it all by himself.

“For Manchester City to clinch the league title, they will require contributions from other players as well.”
