The Warri Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (WACCIMA) on Thursday urged the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori-led Delta State Government to take all necessary measures to ensure that both international and indigenous oil companies operating significant businesses within the Niger Delta region relocate their head offices to the area.

WACCIMA President, Anthony Okoh, made this appeal during his welcome address at the 61st WACCIMA AGM/Luncheon and Awards Night held in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.

According to WACCIMA, β€œThe time of utilizing our resources to develop other regions of the country must come to an end. We deserve to reap the full benefits of our natural resources.”

The chamber also advocated for a partnership with the state government, urging the administration to cultivate a robust, results-driven collaboration with the private sector to turn this vision into a reality for all citizens of Delta State.
