ENGLAND faced a little confusion early on against Panama, being caught out by the rules regarding throw-ins at this World Cup.
Within the opening ten minutes against Panama, the Three Lions had a throw-in overturned to the opposition after taking too long to get the ball back in play.

Having won the throw deep on the right-hand side, Bukayo Saka picked up the ball and looked to get things going.
However, a mix-up between him and Jarrell Quansah meant that the Arsenal winger took too long to take it.
Quansah came over to the touchline to take the throw instead of Saka, so that the winger could get into a more threatening position, but when Saka rolled the ball into the Bayer Leverkusen defender, the referee overturned it.
The resulting throw in wasn’t taken advantage of by Panama, at least, with England regaining possession fairly quickly.
