Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has said he visited President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Monday, to encourage him.

Fayose revealed this while addressing reporters after the meeting.

According to him, he was a staunch critic of the previous administration under Muhammadu Buhari.

But Fayose insists that he always believed in Tinubu’s leadership even while he was a governor elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

“I was once a critic of the last administration but you can’t compare the situation now,”; Fayose said.

“For me, I’m here to visit him for his homecoming, and encourage him to do more.

“I have always believed in President Tinubu’s leadership even when I was a PDP Governor.

“The only thing we can do as leaders of this country, is to encourage him to lift up his hands and make the public understand that lead an economy that was down and now being stabilized,”; he added.
