Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has called on residents to intensify prayers and support efforts to advance socio-economic development as Muslims mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Idris said the modest progress recorded under his administration in the past two years was made possible through public support and prayers, despite challenges facing the state.
He reaffirmed his government’s focus on education, agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment as it enters the second half of its first term.
The governor also appealed to citizens to uphold the values of Eid by promoting peace, unity, and tolerance across communities.
He urged residents to work together, regardless of political or religious differences, to ensure security and progress in the state.
