The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has announced the cancellation of the previously scheduled 10-day power outage that was set to impact certain areas of Enugu State.
The outage, which was originally planned to take place from Wednesday, October 22, to Friday, October 31, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day, has been suspended due to unexpected technical issues.
Emeka Ezeh, the Head of Communications at EEDC, shared this information in a statement on Thursday, noting that the decision was made following communication from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
As reported by DAILY POST, MEDL had announced a planned outage for the metropolitan area starting Wednesday.
The intended outage was supposed to affect several 33KV feeders on a rotational basis, including Kingsway Lines 1 and 2, Emene Industrial Lines 1 and 2, Thinkers Corner, Trans-Ekulu, Ugwuogo, and Ituku Ozalla.
Ezeh mentioned that a new schedule for the maintenance work will be provided once it is confirmed, and he expressed apologies to customers for any inconvenience caused by this change.
