In the clip, she asked the officer to confirm he had seen her holding the with her right hand as he wrote her a ticket.

The officer said: “OK, ma’am, so, you’re gonna receive a citation for a wireless communication device handheld while . You can’t, we gotta put the phone down as we operate a motor vehicle.”

She said: “You put on there that you saw me with my right hand holding it, yeah?”

He replied: “I did not put that, no. If you want to take it to court…”

“But that’s what you said when you pulled me over, yes?” she said. “That you saw me holding my device with my right hand.”

“I’m not disagreeing with you, yes, that’s what I said,” the officer confirmed.

He said if she did want to fight the ticket she did have the option to go to court before walking away.

And it was clear she had every plan to do so as there was a key detail that made the ticket confusing.

The woman lifted up her right arm to reveal she had no right hand as it was amputated.

“Turns out you can still get a ticket for driving with a device in your right hand, even if you don’t have a right hand,” she wrote.

The video posted to her TikTok account @ slightlyoff.balance soon went viral with over 17 million views and 2.7 million likes.

People couldn’t help but see the funny side in the comments section and were quick to provide a humorous take on the situation.

One person wrote: “Cutting your right hand off to get out of a ticket seems a bit extreme.”

Another commented: “She won’t even need a lawyer. She can handle this situation single-handedly.”

“I’m a court reporter and I don’t know if I could keep a straight face for this one,” penned a third.
