DOLLY Parton’s nephew has been fired from his job guarding her properties amid a growing battle over her estate.
Bryan Seaver — who she had — was told in writing his security company was no longer needed.
It had been responsible for protecting her home in Nashville, , as well as her museum and other properties.
The decision is believed to have been made by Dolly’s manager Danny Nozell, backed by bankers.
Bryan and his team told US news website TMZ it was “unexpected and so far unexplained”.
They added: “We remain unshakably resolved to fulfil her final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much.”
Although his job has been removed, Bryan’s personal interest in her DP Dean Trust remains.
When he announced her death, he said: “As her head of security for more than two decades — a role my father Larry held before me — I have imagined the heaviness of this moment, but haven’t truly felt it until now
“It is an honour, an honour that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness.”
It has also been revealed Dolly secretly flew to Germany last year for experimental cancer treatment as she privately battled the disease.
She travelled to Frankfurt on a private plane and spent a week there undergoing treatment which she believed had been effective in restoring her strength.
