Promoter Eddie Hearn has touted former if Allen is able to upset the odds and the 18 STONE Russian.

Allen, 33, meanwhile, has refused to even entertain the thought of facing Wilder until first sharing the ring with Makhmudov, 36.

He said: “I’m dreading Saturday, dreading it!

“I can’t even think about Wilder. I’m dreading it. I’m s***ting myself. I hope he’s not f***ing massive.

“I look at it from the outside, looking in. I’m well up against it. But we know how to beat him.”

Hearn said: “If Dave Allen beats Makhmudov, he puts himself in line for some huge fights.

“I like the Deontay Wilder fight, personally. We’ve reached out to Shelly Finkel to talk about that, but let’s see what happens on October 11 first.”
