A political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been undermining itself since 2014.
In a post on her verified X account on Wednesday, the co-founder of the BringBackOurGirls campaign was responding to the significant departure of politicians from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In her response, Yesufu remarked, “In 2014, the PDP presented only one ticket for Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, denying others the chance to run for the position.
“Following a gentleman's agreement that Jonathan would not seek re-election in 2015, it is Aisha Yesufu who is accused of trying to remove him from office.
“The PDP could have been comfortably situated in Aso Villa today, but as usual, they refuse to take responsibility and instead blame others. It is always someone else's fault, never theirs.”
