An upcoming film about David Bowie promises to lift the lid on the superstar’s raunchy private life during his rise to fame.
Suzi Ronson – wife of Mick Ronson, Bowie’s right-hand man in his Seventies heyday – has revealed her autobiography is being turned into a big-budget movie.

Me And Mr Jones: My Life With And The Spiders From Mars came out last year, and during a talk at the first Ziggyfest Bowie fan event in London, Suzi told me she was excited about seeing who won the rights.
“The book has now been auctioned to be made into a major motion picture,” Suzi explained. “It hasn’t been bought but we are hoping it will be soon and it will be a great movie about the Ziggy Stardust days and his rise to fame.”
The , like Suzi’s book, will also tackle her one-night stand with Bowie while he was still married to first wife, .
Suzi said: “The bedroom at his home was pink with a gold ceiling. Everybody thought he was so gay. I was curious about him. I think Angie set me up.
“I went to do her hair on a Wednesday and she said: ‘I have got to look fabulous. I am going on a date tonight.’
“David called me and said: ‘Why don’t you come over and do my hair?’ So I went up to London, had a great meal and he kind of seduced me.
“David used to mark his territory. He was definitely flamboyant in that regard.”
Suzi is famed for transforming Bowie into his hugely successful stage character and she opened up about her secret behind his look — including the spiky red hair.
She explained: “I used to do David’s mum’s hair and I got introduced to Angie to cut David’s hair off.
“I never thought I would be talking about him 52 years later.
“He had long wavy hair at the time. He was like a hippy kid.
‘Ladies loved him’
“He showed me a photo of a girl with spiky hair and said, ‘Can you do that?’ I thought, ‘This is a girl’s hairstyle. I didn’t have the dye. No one had product in those days.
“So I went away and found the colour and used this anti-dandruff treatment called Guard and it set hair like stone.
“With that bright red hair, he looked incredible. He looked like Ziggy Stardust. The ladies loved Bowie and the band in their glam rock outfits.”
This is a film I will definitely be watching.

Ed ready to play it again with Rewind
Ed Sheeran has revealed fans must wait until 2027 for his follow-up album Rewind, after this week’s release of Play
will drop his new album Play on Friday – and the follow-up, Rewind, is also in the bag.
But the Azizam singer has admitted fans will be waiting until 2027 to hear the second record.
Ed said: “I made Play and Rewind at the same time and we finished Play first because it felt like the most exciting one.
“So Rewind is I’d say two months off being totally locked and loaded and ready to go.
“I guess at some point in the next 18 months it will come out.
“They’re very much like twin albums. But one lent more into Indian culture and one lent more into nostalgia. So they veered off in different directions.”
Asked whether he struggled to narrow down the tunes for Rewind, he added: “Weirdly no, because each song has a purpose.
“With each album you have the songs you think are the singles and then in the gaps, basically you have to do purposeful songs rather than having ten singles.
“You do a song like Azizam and a song like Sapphire, but then a song like Old Phone and a Little More. I feel like they give the album a journey and purpose rather than it just being bangers.”

Sing show is a scream
Alan Carr and Emma Bunton are being lined up for a new show pitting contestants against one another — as they ride a rollercoaster and try to sing in tune

I’ve been told that the production company behind has approached them to front a barmy new show called Sing If You Want To Go Faster.
The series will pit contestants against one another — as they ride a rollercoaster and try to sing in tune at the same time.
And singer Emma and darling Alan are being touted to front it, with the programme being unveiled to Itv and streamers in recent weeks.
My telly tipper said: “The makers of this new show are lining up Alan and Emma to host and now they’re looking for the perfect home for this show.
“ITV has been offered it and now it’s going over to streamers like to see if they want to take it on.
“Sing If You Want To Go Faster is a really mad idea but it will be laugh-out-loud funny and perfect to watch at home with your mates or your family.
“It’s very simple — people get strapped into a rollercoaster and have to sing.
“Given they’re being belted around at 100mph, singing in tune is a nightmare and remembering the lyrics won’t be easy.
“The show comes from the creators of The Masked Singer and they think it could be a hit.
“They want Emma for her singing experience and Alan for his hilarious one-liners.
“He will be able to ad-lib so well off the crazy scenes playing out in front of them. I think they’d make the perfect presenting partnership.”
I seriously hope a broadcaster picks this up because I desperately need something new to watch on the box.

Our Jack headed down to a pop up Vie phone booth in New York to listen to a few snippets courtesy of and it’s safe to say fans are in for a treat.
The songs we heard are definitely sexy Doja with sultry vocals and infectious beats.
While not as pop sounding as her latest track Jealous Type, we’re sure this record is still going to make waves.
It’s safe to say Doja’s Vie phone booth is a far cry from the beat up phone booths we have here in the UK though.
As well as being adorned with kisses on the walls, the booth also has two red roses for a touch of decoration.
Jack was also given a rose to take back to his home in London for good measure.
If that phone booth was over here, it would no doubt stink of piss, have Greggs’ wrappers strewn across the floor and be adorned with dodgy leaflets printed with phone numbers to call for some paid for “fun”.
Glasto Charli a fire hazard

The wild set saw Charli grind her way through her biggest hits alongside a serious amount of production which included making it rain on stage and countless pyrotechnics and flame cannons.
And she’s now revealed bosses were so worried things could go wrong there were “about 40” firemen backstage at The Other Stage on high alert.
Speaking to actor Haris Dickinson, the 365 Party Girl hit-maker said: “The show was just an extension of me partying for the weekend. It’s one of the last truly great festivals where it’s still messy and dirty and fun.”
Harris added: “For as long as you’ve got Charli Xcx burning a big thing on stage… It scared me. There were like 40 firefighters behind the stage. It looked like it went wrong but it was obviously part of it.”
Charli laughed: “I think they were just being extra careful.”
It certainly got our seal of approval. Our Howell couldn’t get over how amazing the show was.
