MTV are revamping Channel 4 dating game show Streetmate.
The brand new series, inspired by ‘s much-loved nineties series, will be called Date Me Now and launches this summer on MTV’s UK’s channel.

It will be hosted by presenter and social media star Kimberley Cumberbatch who will travel to cities across the UK including London, and in a bid to match Gen-Z singles with people on the street.
Kimberley said: “Dating app fatigue is real. A lot of people are bored of swiping and want to meet people in .
“Date Me Right Now takes back into the real world, and I love helping people take that leap to prove that real connection can still happen when you put yourself out there.”

It saw Davina hitting the streets all over the country to send unsuspecting contestants on impromptu blind dates.
took over for a short stint on in 2007 before star fronted a reboot in 2017 back with Channel 4.
Davina, who brought back the hit for a one-off special for Stand Up To Cancer in 2016 with favourite , was left gutted by the decision.
“Two days before they announced its revival, bosses told me they were going with Scarlett,” she said at the time.
“I was like, ‘No!’ but Scarlett presented it. It was tried out, and it didn’t go [well], so I was like, ‘We have to let go of that now.'”
though – fronting ‘s , which followed a group of single parents nominated by their own grown-up kids for a second chance at love and BBC One’s , helping newlyweds as they try to survive on a deserted beach for three weeks.
Both have since been axed.
Here’s hoping the new incarnation of Streetmate has better luck.
There will be 12 10-minute episodes in the upcoming series, featuring special cameos from familiar faces.
In each episode, Kim acts as wing woman to one hopeful dater, starting with a walk-and-grill on their dating dealbreakers before scouring the city centre for potential matches.
Along the way, quickfire questions and minigames fill the journey, with the aim of sparking cringeworthy, viral moments and online debate.
By the end of each episode, the singles may have secured a date, or still be match-pending.
