The Israel international said: “It’s not easy because we have a lot of sirens there and you have to be in the bunker or in the safe rooms.

“It’s not always easy to do this separation in life and you are worried a lot about what’s happening.

“They are always following the instructions and I’m in touch with them always.

“They also help me a lot. They give me a lot of confidence and they’re trying to keep me focused 100 per cent on and doing what I want and giving me all the secure feeling for the situation.

“Football for me is a really good therapy. It’s where my mind can focus.

“I love this profession so much and I love this game so much.

“When I’m here, it really helps me know that I’m focusing on my targets.

“I know also how much the people in Israel follow me and when I’m having good games and good periods, how important it is for them and what it means for them.

“I’m really happy that I have the right to influence in this kind of way.

“I know that my best thing to do is just focus on football, doing my best and it will influence much more people than I think it does.”
