WHAT is going on in Britain when a foreign citizen can climb all over Winston Churchill’s statue, daub it with mad slogans and then get let off by the courts?

Wars are terrible. Tragically, innocent people get hurt. But Israel has not carried out a genocide.

In fact, a smaller proportion of civilians have been killed in Gaza than in any other recent conflict.

Even according to the health ministry, about three per cent of Gaza’s population has been killed in this war, many of them terrorists.

In the , about 95 per cent of Poland’s Jews were killed. That was a genocide. Imagine trying to defeat the with this lot wringing their hands.

They’d demand a ceasefire and aid sent to the Germans.

There’d be a judicial review, Churchill would be in the dock and Hitler would be marching down Whitehall.

Israel is fighting for its life against terrorist armies equipped and trained by . They want to wipe it off the map and murder every Jewish citizen.

Let’s be clear about this: Singling out the world’s only Jewish state and holding it to standards never applied to any other country is racism.

Even worse, falsely accusing it of the most appalling behaviour leads to anti- Jewish racism in Britain.

That’s why we end up with Jewish kids attacked on their way to school and . And it’s why a lunatic murdered ­people outside a synagogue in Manchester last year.

We might not be at war with Iran, but they have ­certainly declared war on us.

Israel is the front line, but extremists in Iran, and the Muslim Brotherhood hate the West and are fuelling extremism and pumping out propaganda to undermine it.

Keffiyeh-clad clowns on British campuses swallow their lies. Gullible young people are being radicalised.

This nonsense is taking over the and , ordinary people are being ignored and, if we don’t all get a grip, our country will be changed forever.

We face a stark choice: Are we going to defend ­British values, our freedoms and the West’s way of life — just as Churchill did?
