The character – played by Sydney Martin – first arrived on the cobbles in 2024 and is the daughter of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

A new ITV promo teases Betsy coming to terms with a “life-changing diagnosis.”
The clip features an ambulance taking Betsy from No. 6, as stepmother Carla (Alison King) anxiously joins Lisa at her bedside.
Meanwhile, a synopsis hints at further drama, with worried mum Lisa “demanding answers” as “accusations fly”.
On top of this, Betsy’s boyfriend Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) finds himself under suspicion.
