Fresh controversy has emerged from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Nasarawa State after two separate result sheets allegedly from the same electoral ward declared different winners.
The documents, both identified as results from Ningu/Bihar and Ningu/Eghar Ward in Akwanga Local Government Area, have sparked concerns over the credibility and transparency of the exercise.
In one of the result sheets, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada was recorded as the winner with 1,790 votes, while Mohammed Sani Haruna scored one vote, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar scored zero, and both Dr. Fatima Abdullahi and Tanimu Adabsun SP secured one vote each.
However, another result sheet bearing similar details from the same ward showed a completely different outcome, with Mohammed Adamu Abubakar emerging winner with 1,790 votes.
In that version, Aliyu Ahmed Wadada received one vote, Mohammed Sani Haruna scored zero, while Dr. Fatima Abdullahi and Tanimu Adagun SP also polled one vote each.
Interestingly, both documents carried the same date, May 21, 2026, and appeared to have identical signatures of the ward presiding officer and party agents, further deepening suspicion surrounding the authenticity of the results.
Observers and party supporters have since raised questions over how two separate candidates could emerge victorious from what appears to be the same ward election result.
