She joined health charities and the in urging other smokers to quit.

But the ex-Nolans singer had a smoke outside Studios in central London last week before tossing the butt on the pavement.

In March 2024, the mum of three — who once smoked 30 cigarettes a day — said she thought she was going to die with an acute chest infection.

She revealed she gave up to give her “extra years” with her family.

She said: “I realised how precious life is and became determined to quit, not just for my own health, but so I can be there fully for my children and grandchildren.

“To anyone out there thinking of giving up smoking, my advice is, ‘Do it’.”

She was supported by England’s then-chief medical officer Sir who said: “Cigarettes kill. Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health.”
