But after Piero Hincapie nodded into his own net, – from yet another corner.
And Saliba could not contain his excitement.
As the TV cameras focused on , he was followed towards the corner by the towering centre-back.
Then Saliba spotted a spare football on a cone being looked after by one of the ballboys.
So in his joy, he absolutely leathered it high into the Emirates stand.
But the ballboy was not happy.
Firstly, he understandably jumped out of his skin, flinching hard at the fear of being hit by the flying football.
And then he appeared to let his frustration clear as the ball he was in charge of looking after went flying off into the distance by throwing his arms in the air.
It was reminiscent of the Year 11 lads mercilessly and needlessly launching the Year 7s’ football away during lunchtime in the school playground.
And the hilarious incident was spotted by some fans watching the action on TV.
One said: “Ballboy wasn’t too pleased with Saliba.”
