COLE Palmer has been left OUT of Chelsea’s clash vs West Ham after sustaining an injury in the warm-up at the London Stadium.

The threatening forward came out for the warm-up in East London, only to head down the tunnel early.

He was supposed to start on the right-hand side for the Blues, but will now be replaced in the starting XI.

It remains unclear how serious the injury to Palmer will be, in what is an early nightmare for Enzo Maresca at the start of the season.

Palmer will join leader Levi Colwill on the injury table at Cobham, who has already sustained an ACL injury, leaving Chelsea at a serious loss early on in the campaign.

Cole Palmer came out and sat on the bench in a puffer jacket, looking sunken and defeated as his teammates came out onto the pitch.

Those teammates included the man who replaced him in the starting XI, young Brazilian, Estevao.
