The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that the dire predictions made by opposition figures regarding President Bola Tinubu’s administration were proven completely wrong in 2025.

“The opposition, along with their echo chambers and a diverse coalition of political prophets, professional alarmists, and doom merchants, predicted famine, anarchy, state collapse, mass unrest, and foreign intervention.
“None of these predictions came true. Their doomsday timelines have expired one after another, leaving only embarrassment in their wake.
“Unable to create a reality, they turned to a campaign of universal demarketing against Nigeria—spreading exaggerated narratives, lobbying foreign audiences, distorting facts, and intentionally undermining the sovereignty and image of their own country in a desperate attempt to gain political advantage. Never in our recent history has opposition politics sunk so low by wishing for national failure merely to validate their partisan fantasies.”
Oladejo highlighted that despite their dire predictions, Nigeria remained unbroken.
He added: “Our institutions have held firm. Our democracy has endured. Our economy has shown early signs of stabilization and recovery. Security forces have achieved strategic gains despite sabotage and misinformation. Nigerians have adapted, persevered, and moved forward with the quiet strength that has characterized our history.
“Thus, this Christmas is not just a celebration of faith—it is a celebration of national resilience.
“It serves as proof that Nigeria is stronger than its detractors, wiser than its pessimists, and far more enduring than the manufactured narratives of collapse that are peddled daily by those who profit from despair.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration remains focused on the hard work of governance, not on the noise from naysayers. Structural reforms are often challenging, but nations that avoid them stagnate, while those that embrace them progress.
